Who was Joseph Conrad? Joseph Conrad was a British-Polish novelist and is regarded by some as one of the finest writers the English-speaking and reading world has ever seen. His stories come in a distinctive ‘Conradian’ quality and style which people simply love to read. HIs characteristic and non-standard writing style is often attributed to the fact that Conrad was born in Poland and not a native speaker of English.
